Tama no Yu No.1
Analysis UnverifiedTapped deep beneath the Yufuin basin, this 55°C spring is mild in total minerals yet alkaline and rich in metasilicic acid, wrapping the skin in a soft, silky touch. Clear, odorless and understated, it suits the quiet woods and mountain views of Yufuin.
The bar length shows how abundant each component is compared to thresholds that make it "distinctive" (therapeutic spring standards, beauty spring criteria, etc.).
A natural moisturizer also used in skincare lotions. Forms a thin veil on the skin to reduce moisture loss after bathing.
A trace component with gentle antibacterial and anti-inflammatory action.
Scores are calculated from mineral analysis data based on the Mineral Spring Analysis Guidelines (Ministry of Environment, Japan). They are unrelated to facility atmosphere or service quality.
▸Note
The temperature, pH and component values shown here are based on the hot spring analysis (source). Actual values in the bath may differ depending on heating, dilution, recycling and filtration. Please check current usage status at the facility.
At pH 8.6 the water gently lifts oils, so go light on soap and enjoy its smoothness. The 55°C source can make the inlet hot; moisturize afterward to keep the silky feel.
Alkaline at pH 8.6 with 214.0 mg/kg of metasilicic acid, the water softens the skin for a silky skin finish, while its gentle, hypotonic character invites deep relaxation without strain on the body.
The 55°C source can be hot near the inlet. Avoid bathing when unwell or after drinking alcohol, keep soaks short, and stay hydrated.
