Yunokawa Onsen Wakamatsu Private Spring
Analysis UnverifiedSaid to have been bored in 1885 on the Yunokawa shore facing the Tsugaru Strait, this old spring still gushes up inside a small pavilion, where a sulfur scent hangs that the baths themselves barely hint at. A chloride water rich in calcium as well as sodium, it leaves white mineral crusts on the tub edges and a slightly salty, slippery feel on the skin.
The bar length shows how abundant each component is compared to thresholds that make it "distinctive" (therapeutic spring standards, beauty spring criteria, etc.).
A trace component with gentle antibacterial and anti-inflammatory action.
Transdermal absorption gently supports skin hydration and muscle relaxation.
Scores are calculated from mineral analysis data based on the Mineral Spring Analysis Guidelines (Ministry of Environment, Japan). They are unrelated to facility atmosphere or service quality.
▸Note
The temperature, pH and component values shown here are based on the hot spring analysis (source). Actual values in the bath may differ depending on heating, dilution, recycling and filtration. Please check current usage status at the facility.
The source is 58.3°C and baths can run near 43°C, so pour water over yourself first and take short, repeated soaks. Rinse lightly afterward so the salty film keeps you warm.
With 3,496 mg/kg of chloride, the salt is thought to coat the skin and slow heat loss, giving a restorative warmth that lasts after bathing and suits deep relaxation in the sea breeze.
The source is hot and baths can run hot, so avoid long soaks. The salty water may sting cuts or sensitive skin.
