Taenoyu Onsen (Gin no Yu)
Analysis UnverifiedThe Taenoyu Onsen (Gin no Yu) source gushes naturally at the foot of Mount Komagatake in the Nyuto Onsenkyo, and it is called "silver water" as the clear counterpart to the brown, iron-rich golden spring. Mild and neutral, its faintly silky water wraps the skin gently. It soothes travelers who wish to rest after the sharp acidic bath or simply linger in a calm, gentle soak.
The bar length shows how abundant each component is compared to thresholds that make it "distinctive" (therapeutic spring standards, beauty spring criteria, etc.).
Absorbed through the skin to gently promote peripheral circulation.
A trace component with gentle antibacterial and anti-inflammatory action.
Transdermal absorption gently supports skin hydration and muscle relaxation.
Scores are calculated from mineral analysis data based on the Mineral Spring Analysis Guidelines (Ministry of Environment, Japan). They are unrelated to facility atmosphere or service quality.
▸Note
The temperature, pH and component values shown here are based on the hot spring analysis (source). Actual values in the bath may differ depending on heating, dilution, recycling and filtration. Please check current usage status at the facility.
The 30.0°C source is heated for bathing. Being a mild neutral simple spring, it rewards a relaxed 15 minute soak and works well as a finishing bath after the acidic golden spring.
Neutral at pH 6.6 and gentle on the body, this simple spring eases tension and invites deep relaxation. Its 98.1 mg/kg of metasilicic acid leaves the skin soft, and it is traditionally associated with rejuvenation after a long day.
Avoid bathing during acute illness or with serious heart or lung conditions, and take care not to overstay in the bath.
