Analysis UnverifiedNakabusa Onsen is a lone mountain inn in the Northern Alps, where legend says the general Sakanoue no Tamuramaro healed his wounded soldiers; a bathhouse opened here in 1821 alongside alum mining. With nearly 30 naturally flowing sources, each tub offers a different spring. This mixed spring feeds the Oyu bath, combining Mushiburo No. 1 and Konabetate and cooling the water by heat exchange and air rather than adding water. The alkaline water is silky enough to make the floor slippery, with a faint sulfur scent and valley views from the open-air tub.
The bar length shows how abundant each component is compared to thresholds that make it "distinctive" (therapeutic spring standards, beauty spring criteria, etc.).
Mild antibacterial action keeps the skin clean. Trace transdermal absorption supports tooth and bone health.
A natural moisturizer also used in skincare lotions. Forms a thin veil on the skin to reduce moisture loss after bathing.

Because the sources are very hot, some tubs can exceed 45°C; pour water over yourself first and move to a cooler tub or the open-air bath if it feels too hot.
The pH 9.2 alkalinity and 45.6 mg/kg carbonate are traditionally associated with silky skin, while the sulfur content (3.0 mg/kg hydrosulfide) warms the body deeply and invites deep relaxation.
Tubs run hot, so avoid long soaks and lightheadedness; remove metal jewelry, which sulfur can discolor.
