From JR Nagano Station (JR長野駅), transfer to the Nagano Electric Railway Line (長野電鉄線). Yudanaka Station (湯田中駅) is the nearest station. From Yudanaka Station (湯田中駅) to Shibu Onsen (渋温泉), it's about 7 minutes by taxi (approx. 1500 yen) or about 10 minutes by bus (approx. 250 yen). Kanaguya's (金具屋) shuttle bus service starts from 15:17. From Joshin-etsu Expressway (上信越自動車道) Shinshu-Nakano IC (信州中野IC), take National Route 292 (国道292号線) towards Shiga Kogen (志賀高原) for about 15 minutes.
Parking
Parking is available for 30 cars, free of charge, and is outdoor only. Microbuses and larger vehicles will be charged. The parking lot is located about 300m from the inn; you can search for 'Kanaguya Parking (金具屋駐車場)' on Google Maps. After 3 PM, a shuttle service operates from the parking lot to Kanaguya (金具屋). Vehicles taller than 2.3m cannot enter Shibu Onsen (渋温泉) town.

The hot spring source is very hot, and the bath water may be at a high temperature. Please do not dive and check the water temperature before entering. 100% hot spring water flows from the spout, so please be careful not to touch it. As the building retains its old structure, there are many stairs and steps, making it not wheelchair accessible. There are no rooms or baths that can be accessed without using stairs.
