The large public baths operate on a gender-rotation system. Ichien-no-Yu (indoor bath, rock open-air bath) is available for men from 15:00-19:15 and 8:30-10:00, and for women from 19:30-8:15. Ogi-no-Yu (indoor bath, cypress open-air bath) is available for men from 19:30-8:15, and for women from 15:00-19:15 and 8:30-10:00. There will be a 15-minute period around 19:00 and 08:30 when bathing is not possible due to gender rotation.
